Dr. Carollo’s Educational Video on Flat Feet and the Use of Custom Orthotics

The medical term for flat feet is pes planus.  People with this foot structure benefit from orthotic therapy.  Orthotics are devices that are placed inside your shoes, in order to help realign your foot and allow it to function in the most optimal way possible.  Think of orthotics as doing for your feet what your eyeglasses do for your eyes.  You can view this short video here to learn more about orthotics.  Custom orthotics can be obtained at our office.  If you have flat feet or wish to learn whether orthotics could be beneficial for you, give us a call at 586-298-1585.  As one patient recently told us “I love my orthotics.  My foot pain is gone.  It’s like I have new feet!”
